Bob Parke Dispersal Auction in UK

Everyone should have seen the dispersal ad on page 7 of the latest Clipper.  What you didn’t see was this auction is the collection of long time MCA member Bob Parke in Norwich, Norfolk, UK. In fact, if you look closely you will discover there are two auctions!

The first one will be an on-line auction of Bob’s memorabilia and literature he has collected over the years.  The on-line auction will begin at 7:30 am on Friday, August 23 and close at 12 noon on September 2, 2019.

Tractors, combines, implements, engines, lawn mowers and tools will be auctioned on September 7, 2019 starting at 10:00 am.

What is most important, however, is all times listed are UK time.  So, if the auction starts at 10:00 AM on Saturday that would be 5:00 am Eastern Standard Time in the USA. If the auction for memorabilia concludes at 12:00 noon on Monday September 2, 2019 that would be 7:00 am Eastern Standard Time in the USA.  You could miss the whole thing if you do not recognize the time difference!  They are a half of a day ahead of the US and Canada.

I just checked the web site and no items have appeared just yet but you will be able to view everything by going to auction house web site:

https://www.brown-co.com

You will be able to bid using Proxibid.com.   You can reach this site by going through the Brown & Co site. Remember you must register through proxibid to place a bid.

This will be an excellent auction you will not want to miss.  There are several imported tractors Bob has collected over the years!  Who knows, some might return to the US and Canada!!

See the first ad attached below.

You might note the Ferguson Pony near the front was one of the first Ferguson Pony tractors imported into the UK!  It was featured many years ago in a French tractor book called "Tracteurs Pony."  It was originally found in Louisana, then found its way to Danville, Indiana for several years and then it was sent to Bob's!

Thanks

Gary
