The Massey Expo of Norht America cake!  The picture looks very familiar.  If you don't know, just ask Jack H.

RE:Massey mens' food!

Great picture Alan!!  It is nice to see an intellectual conversation being carried on over a delicious looking meal.  Unfortunately, I don't know what the two people in the foreground are smiling about!?!?  They have obivously been excluded from the conversation!!  Tell them all Ony and I said HI!!

Thanks for sharing.

Gary

RE:Massey mens' food!

These two guys just never stop eating, both days of the Newark Show last weekend I caught them keeping the food vendors in business, so those chips must of been good!!!!

I could not afford to eat as I bought a NOS copper head gasket for a Pacemaker from the trading stalls.

RE:Massey mens' food!

Here is another well known Massey Collector enjoying his "Massey Mens Food" in the Mohawk restaurant at Campbelville near Milton on a recent trip to Ontario, I must say the five of us around the table consumed a very substantial amount of excellent local quisine.

RE:Massey mens' food!

More Massey Men's Food. This time last Saturday in North Wales in a lovely little café by the sea looking out towards North America.Unfortunately no strawberries and Jersey cream this time. One of the reasons to go over to see John and Moira was that John has lent me about forty M-H Parts Books for me to use in my research into M-H spanners ( wrenches). These are going to be immensely helpful to me. At the Expo Steve Miller also kindly lent me some M-H parts books the numbers of which are being added to the list at this present time. I am immensely grateful to John and Steve for their help. Thank you very much. Alan

RE:Massey mens' food!

All the talk on this thread so far seems not unsurprisingly to have been about FOOD!!

So I thought what about the general utensils that go with and to make a good Massey FEED.

Here is a pair of tongs issued by MH for their 100th anniversary.  This was in 1947 so it makes them 66 years old.  They seem to be some sort of aluminium/stainless steel type material. They seema bit large for sugar tongs??????  Maybe for salad?  Any ideas?

RE:Massey mens' food!

We have talked a lot about Jersey cream on this thread so here is a modern day piece of Massey memorabilia for the Massey table - a cream or milk jug to pour it from

RE:Massey mens' food!

John,

I will bring my M-F salt and pepper pot this weekend, we can use them at your local Indian restaurant, followed by cream from your jug on the Massey Meet desert.

RE:Massey mens' food!

Of course no good Massey meal should be devoured without some ale!  This is a beer mug which was a give away from MF Hanomag - the German arm of MF which made their very heavy yellow industrial and construction equipment.
