RE:Massey mens' food!

For those of you needing a coffee in the workshop or outdoors here's a tin mug so it's unbreakable.  It is an official MF 150th anniversay mug.  And the advantage of a tin mug over a pot one is that the beverage cools quicker so you can get back on the job!

Of course when you are having your mug of coffee or tea you will need a spoon to stir it with.  This silver spoon was issued by MF to celebrate our Queen's silver jubilee in 1977.  There was no such offering on the occasion of her golden jubilee!

They say water is the staff of life.  The MCA offered their own branded version at one of the more recent Massey Exp banquets and I kept the empty presentational plastic bottle as a "collectors item".  Can someone remind me which year this was?

RE:Massey mens' food!

Your bottle of water was available at the Massey Exposition of North America in Waverly, Nebraska, July 14-16, 2006.

We still have some water if you want one still full!! LOL.  It kinda tastes like creek water now but...

They say time flies faster as one ages - here's your living evidence!  Amazing that it was five years ago!

Ummm... 5 years ago? 2006?? Would that be in metric years? ;-)

RE:Massey mens' food!

Time does go by fast. In fact, I lost 2 1/2 years just talking about it!!  LOL!!

We are not picking on you, John!  Just showing our love!!
Peace and love!

RE:Massey mens' food!

No - not metric years at all!  But here we have better value with our measures - no short weight tons or gallons.  And our years have more generous public holidays!  That show still seems like yesterday!

If you fancy something a little stronger than water with your Massey food then carry a hip flask with your chosen tipple of brandy, rum, whisky - whatever.  This is an MF 50th anniversary hip flask that was issued over here.  A drop of the hard stuff sure does make the years seem shorter!

RE:Massey mens' food!

The reason that show is so memorable is because it was the hottest show I think I ever attended!!  It was hot in the shade!!  I think it got up to 114 degrees F.

MCA was going to sell the water to make a little money but they considered it as "Cruel and Unusual" punishment for someone wanting a cold drink in that kind of weather so they gave it away to anyone wanting a drink.

It was amazing weekend, but we still had a great time.
