RE:Massey mens' food!

Bob, This web site is quite easy to use once you get the hang of it,althogh it take me awhile. How are those two 20-30s doing?

RE:Massey mens' food!

Too bad we can't get Bob Parke to jump in on here as he has a very nice collection with alot of knowlege to add to this site.

It's been a while since there  has been any new Massey Mens Food so here is the latest Craze. It is Corn Cob Jelly thats right Corn Cob Jelly made with corn cobs shelled with a Massey Harris hand corn sheller and cobs hauled in a Massey Harris wheel barrow. This new craze was created by Steve and Sandy Miller of Atwater, MN and they do a great job of making it.

I heard it through the grape vine that they may be performing the Jelly making live at the Armstrong's for Massey Days. I really like the taste of this stuff but I think it could have just a little more Massey Flavor if the corn was planted with a Massey Harris planter and Cultivated with a Massey Harris Cultivator and Picked with a two row Massey Harris self propelled picker and last but not least cooked on a Massey Harris Stove. What do you think Steve???? If we don't eat it all at Massey Days we could possibly save it in a Massey Harris Freezer so when the boys from the other side of the pond come over they can try it..... But then we risk the possiblity of it loosing some flavor. I guess when they come Steve and Sandy will have to make a fresh batch just for them.

It is really Goooood.......

RE:Massey mens' food!

I like it Joe you should be writing books!!!

Please get the Massey Harris Freezer plugged in ready to stock up with Corn Cob Jelly for when we are over.
To keep us tuned into the process we hope you post some photographs from Massey Days in June of the M-H shelling process and cobs in the M-H wheelbarrow, I wonder who will be turning the sheller this time???

Looks like we are going to have to wait a while until we get to the "tasting ceremony"

Malcolm.

RE:Massey mens' food!

Here is one Very Happy Massey Collector who I bumped into on Saturday at The Norwich indoor tractor show.

This is Alan Harris who we all know as "The Massey Wrench Man" proudly showing the M-H cake both he and Doreen had organised for the event.

More to follow shortly, but thanks for all your work Alan on the Massey wrench and spanner project.

RE:Massey mens' food!

Happy Birthday Alan!!!

Malcolm, that is a very nice looking cake but how do you cut it?? I got to thinking maybe Alan should add an extra page in his Massey Harris Wrench book with some of the Massey Harris Tools made to be used in the Kitchen!! I don't know how many different things they made but I have seen a rubber Spatula,Tongs and Egg seperator come across for sale on ebay every now and then so I am sure they had to make a Knife set and spoons that sure would be helpfull for induldging in this great looking cake.....

Those are some great looking tractors in the backround!! They really shine!!

Joe

RE:Massey mens' food!

I like your "Massey Kitchenalia" thoughts Joe, I know there is a set of M-F knives over in the West which may well come out next time you are sat at the Sunday Roast table carving your lamb with roast potatoes and gravy.

Anyway here is another photograph of The three Massey Collectors admiring the cake, apparently the cake was cut at the evening dinner whilst I was away enjoying roast beef with yorkshire pudding, vegetables and gravy at a local "Carvery" someone said it was agood job there was no weight restriction on my plate!!!!!

I understand Alan has more photos to share of the evenings activites.

RE:Massey mens' food!

I think Bob is taking this Massey Men's food quiet seriously. Here he is at the dinner last Saturday evening at the Norwich tractor show. I even think a career change may be in the air. As far as reserching Massey kitchenalia I'll leave that to you Joe. But thanks for the offer.
