Many thanks for the photograph and detail of the 6HP engine Mike,

That just proves why this site is so beneficial for the further development of our knowledge on all things Massey,

This is the first time I have seen one of the M-H Harvester Co, Batavia built 6HP horsepower engines over the years of travel to shows, auctions and private collections. What a nice engine and very different cylinder head to the familiar 1.5HP version

I have seen several low horsepower examples and recall an elderly gentleman from NY State who always used to attend the National Wild Harvest Expo's a few years back with one in his car trunk, have not seen him in recent years at the Expo's and can't remember his name now, I think he also had some Massey tractors too.

Malcolm.

Here are two more blue M-H gas engines. The first is I believe a 6 HP that ran on kerosene. It was shown at the 2013 Cedar Valley Engine Show at Charles City Iowa. The second is a smaller engine that was shown at the Mid Iowa Antique Power Show in Marshalltown, Iowa.
