RE:403 diesel in a 55?
I just talked to a friend of mine with quite a bit of experience with 55's. he says the 403 was mainly a military use engine, but the block is the same as the 382. He also told me M+W sold sleeve and pistons kits for the 382 to make it into a 403. So I guess you could make any 382 into a 403 from what he says.
