RE:M-H Barn Equipment.

Well there we go!!!  The text got on but no photo.  How strange that this new site has a restriction on the image size - this tripped me up and my own programme would not downsize it.  Yet it was just the same size as I used to put on the old web site.  Why ,oh why, should a new site have lower capacity?  I thought that the rule of the modern game with all this wizadry, KBs and GBs was that capacity went up and not down.  Anyway, I have asked Gary to address the problem and hope that he can still pull the perfect rabbit out of the hat!!

Keep trying foks!!!

Never under estimate an Englishmen!!! They are true to their word!!!!

I may just have to talk with Steve Miller and see if we can bake it in a Massey Harris Stove!!!

Malcolm, I noticed this thread has the most views of all the threads out there Maybe this will have an impact on the price of this Imported Massey Harris Bread???

Joe ----

Why the snow shovel?????!!!!!  Looks like a nice sunny day suitable for picking strawberries!!!

Think strawberries and double Jersey cream - summer almost here again.

Trust Malcolm's product is wholemeal organic?!

I am sure glad that package went to Minnesota!!  The last time I opened my mouth I woefully failed to bring "thick" Jersey cream to the table!!    You guys KNOW the types of desserts that have been experienced in England.  You have your hands full.  I think Ony has the recipe for some of that "Spotted whatever" if you need it!!

RE:M-H Barn Equipment.

Well Guy's,

Mission accomplished from this side of the pond, NOW IT'S OVER TO YOU in readiness for your Spring Meet.

Whilst here on your tour last July you saw that spelt wheat grain growing in the fields, in the barn you also saw the de husking process of the grain in action, now it has been through the grinder you have it documented from "field to table" , yes it is certified organic as shown on the labels, we shipped it from here Friday and it arrived with you Monday, so still very fresh in the bag from grinding in true M-H style, see if you can smell the oil from the No 3?

There are two packages  so maybe you should bake one and sell one package of flour for someone else to bake in a Massey Stove, I look forward to hearing the end results. And especially Ony's favourite traditional English pudding (or dessert), which I hope everyone tastes in Iowa, she will fill you in on the recipe and fine detail.

Enjoy and have fun,

Malcolm.

RE:M-H Barn Equipment.

Whilst the oven get's up to temperature for the bread making, let's have a look at another piece of M-H barn equipment which is more familiar with our North American collectors and hope they will chime in on the discussion.

Here is a photo of my No 6 two hole sheller, it amazes me how well balanced this machine is when turning the handle, I might not be saying that if I had been turning it for a living!!!!!
We don't make corn (maize) bread here in England, so over to you guys now for the challenge of the best M-H corn bread at your Spring Meet!!!

Hope we get a smell from the M-H oven shortly!!!

Malcolm.

RE:M-H Barn Equipment.

Okay, so, yeah, it's not all that old, I don't know if you guys would call it "Barn Equipment", and it's not all that rare, but with all the minimum tillage and no-till methods today, it is almost a "relic"... It followed me home from Ohio this past weekend. MF Model 880 5-16" semi-mounted moldboard plow (at least that's what we call them this side of the big pond...). Just unloaded it this evening. Unfortunately was running out of daylight so the photos are not the best. The 1150 got the first opportunity for the hook-up since it was between the 1130 and the door. Wish I had some acreage that needed to be turned over! JB

RE:M-H Barn Equipment.

I bet that will make the black smoke roll!!  Nice find!!  Doesn't your yard need to be reseeded!!!  It would make quick time of it!!

RE:M-H Barn Equipment.

John,

Very nice piece of equipment which looks to be in great shape.

All I can say is you will soon NEED a larger "Barn to store your Equipment"

Malcolm.
