RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

Met up with Alan and Doreen here at Stradsett rally in Norfolk yesterday, I got a very pleasant surprise from Alan, it's very nice to see then end result of his years of hard work.
Well done Alan and sorry you are having problems loading the photo's, I will try loading one from my phone here on the Rally field.

Malcolm

It looks like this phone has loaded them sideways again, I will turn them tomorrow when back at my desk.

Hi Alan,

I see the reply buttons on this thread are few and far between... Nice job on finishing the book!  Are the books ready to be sold? How do you plan to sell them? Direct from you? If so what are you thinking for methods of payments? do you have a guestament of shipping cost to the US? Let us know what you are thinking and details on how to purchase a copy. Thanks for all your hard work on making this Wrench book come together.

Joe

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

Hi Joe,

Yes I got there in the end with help from friends.

To cover my costs I think the price of the book will be $32 but the shipping is the problem. I went to our Post Office this morning to get the shipping costs and I was told it would cost $20 to ship it to the USA and Canada.

I am going to see if there are any other ways that I can ship it.

I was also going to take some photos of the inside of the book but my phone and computer won't let me send them at the moment. Tomorrow's job!

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

Alan,

A wonderful treat and surprise came in the post this morning - a copy of your MASSEY-HARRIS WRENCHES book.  Congratulations on producing this fine and needed reference text to add to the archives of Massey-Harris.

It is indeed a substantial reference text - all 250 pages of it.  This has certanly involved you in a lot of tedium and effort researching the subject.  The text has come out clear, easily readable and very informative.  Readers who find a wrench will quickly be able to find out which Massey machine it relates to.

I only have one question - what is your next topic of research?????  You have certainly well demonstarted your abilities to do this sort of thing at your first effort.

And to MH enthusiasts generally I lay down the challenge to establish a collection of all the wrenches listed here ...................................

Again, heartiest congratulations Alan on your truly sterling effort.

John

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

Hi Alan,

What a great resource and reference book. I look forward to seeing the completed product.  I can still remember visiting with you at Malcolms discussing what might be the potential of such an endeavor.  Even then it seemed to be a monumental challenge.  Thank you for staying with it and bringing this to fruitation.

If it will help any, the container that is ready to be loaded and shipped to my house should have room for a few boxes of books.  I would be willing to help with the postage and handling once they get here if that helps. Maybe we can use the PayPal account thru MCA for those wanting to use PayPal.  (It seems to work extremely well for memberships!!)

I will be happy to do my part on this side of the pond.   I know the container will be moving out in the next couple of weeks so it could be 4-6 weeks before it arrives.  Hopefully, everyone would be willing to wait for it to arrive!

If this works just let me know via email!!

Thanks again for a great effort and successful completion.

Gary
