I am a new member to the MCA in Wisconsin. I am rebuilding a 1951 Massey Harris 44. This is my second tractor rebuild and am pretty excited to get this tractor running again.
I have an issue on removing the shifter shaft bracket from the shifter shafts. I removed all of the bolts, the 3 lock balls and springs and even got the pin removed from the center shifter shaft. However, I cannot get to the 2 other shifter balls inside the bracket. How does the bracket pull off of those shifter shafts? Do the shifter shafts have to be removed to do this? This issue has me stopped for the moment.
