Models

We have seen some lovely posters on the last thread so I thought how about starting a thread on models. There must be some people out there with large collections of models. I haven't got very many at all but today one of my sons gave me a belated Christmas present of a 44. Alan

RE:Models

Oh My, yes! I have around 30 Massey Harris models/farming toys. No pictures of them though, yet.

RE:Models

I have a few Massey scale models.  Not nearly as many as some, I know.  Here is a shot of the Massey side of the Toy Room.

Alan

Well done with the model thread, it should appeal to many Massey Collectors of all ages.

John
You mention “The Massey Side of the Toy Room” now you have me curious, what is on the “other side”, your going to have to share it with us even if it is wrong colour.

RE:Models

Gee, I don't know Malcolm...  Showing those other brands on the other walls could get me kicked off the Massey website?!?  I will list the run-down here, and let other decide the appropriateness of sharing here:

North Wall:  All green and yellow stuff
East Wall:  Ford stuff, including all the Precision Classic models
All of the Precision Classis Allis Chalmers Models
All of the National Farm Toy Show Toy Farmer models from 1984 - 2017
                    (which includes some Masseys)
A few other random green and yellow ones
South End:  Farmall, Case-IH, Case, Oliver, Minneapolis Moline - mostly precisions
Some random other schtuff including Versatile and Coc kshutt

So, what do you think fellow Massey collectors and moderators???

Cheers,

JB

RE:Models

You know John, I like them all, just prefer Massey. I really don't have many, but they are mainly Massey with a few others thrown in. I like to have all those that I was familiar with as a young boy. First tractor I drove was my Dad's 8n  Ford. Have one of those.

RE:Models

If I ever stay home long enough I might have to play a little on this thread!  I have a handful I can share?!?!

Same with the posters!!

RE:Models

John What a collection you have. Perhaps some photos of some of the more unusual models like the Corn Picker would be nice when you have the time. Masseyizzy Love to see some photos of your model collection. Here's a photo of a 44 Row Crop that my youngest son gave me some years ago. Alan

RE:Models

Here is a diorama model of the three types of tanks made by Massey-Harris.

My son-in-law, a quite extraordinary model maker, made them for me.  The two smaller ones are made from readily available kit models but the third and larger one he scratch built.  I was flattered to receive them from him!!

RE:Models

Very nice John. Very unusual. Here is a photo of a MF 65 MK 2 by Universal Hobbies. I think in North America they had a slightly different nose cone and were called Dieselmatics? I don't know what the reason is but when I put a post onto the Website using my phone it always appears as one long paragraph even though I always split it into paragraphs on my phone. I blame the operator. Nothing to do with his tools !!! Alan
