MH 21 combine

I came across these two shots of an MH 21 combine in action in the UK amongst a batch of literature I had bought.

I think that they are especially interesting because the combine is on steel wheels.

I've only ever seen one on steels "in the flesh" and that was the MH 20 at Larry Webber's sale in Dome Valley.  What a magnificent sight to see a combine on steels.  Have we any other combine steel wheel photos or sightings out there?

OOPS - sorry the photos are a mere 24 bytes too big and I can't load them!!  Will try and get someone to downsize them for tomorrow

John

RE:MH 21 combine

Hi John, Do you have any pictures of the Yuma #20?  Sadly I did not take any pictures when I was there.

Also in the 1943 Canadian Massey advertising book showing the 81 and a plane on the cover list's a 21A combine as having steel wheels. Now I assume this was a war model.

Are you talking about a straight 21 Galvanized combine or a 21A?

And a picture just for kicks! These combines were used in a town 20 miles west of here and pictures are from the school I went to for a year. One of the #20's still sit about 12 miles from here.

RE:MH 21 combine

This is my only Yuma combine picture.  Is this the #20?  I believe the sunshine combine is in the background on the right.

RE:MH 21 combine

Thanks to Malcolm and his computer gadgetry here are the photos in accpetable size!!

Tom - I leave you to assess if it is galvanised or not - have asked Malcolm if he can post a shot of the Yuma 20.  I only have them in small hard copy without the gadgetry to enlarge them

RE:MH 21 combine

Hi John. Thanks to you and Malcolm for the pics. Looks like a 21A.

The picture drew posted is a galvanized 21. As far as I know the difference was in the paint. 21 was galvanized finish and 21A painted red.

Like I posted earlier I think the 43 war model combines were sold on steel. never seen one existing.

Heres a few more pics. First is a #9 combine and second is a 21
