Very impressed with Alan as the first responder with the extra credit for replying being away from home.  Great work!

The show has been a great turnout so far with lots of great displays and lots of great conversations. Looking forward to more of both on Saturday and Sunday.

I will post some of my pictures when I get home.

RE:Paisley Ontario Show

Now I am back in UK after a very hectic two months of work and travel I am astonished there has been very little activity on this Paisley Massey Expo thread, so over the next few days I will add a few of my photographs for everyone to get a glimpse of the show from my perspective.

After three days at The Smyth Auction the journey to Paisley was very short, we drove into the field heading for the Massey Tent and feature, we was greeted by some very nice interesting items, including Steve Arnold's 102 in proud position at the entrance to the display.

Steve together with a few other Twin Power Club members had worked extremely hard to put together the Expo, as usual with Expo's in Canada there was a lack of early Wallis U frame tractors, in fact there was none in the display, but to make up for that loss Ontario is rich for it's M-H memorabilia, horse drawn implements etc, the tent display of memorabilia was an astounding display as expected from a few very serious M-H collectors in Ontario, I am sure they were very proud of their displays. A superd display of red and yellow tractors lined up behind the tent with some very nice implements mixed into the display.

Enjoy the photo's and the ones Joe has posted in The Gallery section of this site.

Here are a few familiar MCA and Twin Power Club faces parading through the Massey Expo grounds, well done to Don Ellingson from Calgary, Alberta showing his Orchard 44, he travelled almost as far as we did to get to the show.

Now we will have a glimpse of some of the very interesting and diverse implements exhibited at the 2013 Expo.

One of the most original pieces which took my eye was the Verity M-H two row horse planter, just look at the decal on the lids and the condition of the unit, apparently it had been discovered when an old barn fell to the ground and exposed this lovely implement.

As the George Smyth collection of items dispersed around the world just a few days prior to the Expo, it was not surprising that some of the items arrived and displayed at the show.
Here is the GP and reaper, also a very rare and early horse drawn bean puller and many other of his implements were in the display.

Away from the Massey feature area at Paisley there was more very interesting Massey related items including a well restored Sawyer Massey steam engine belted to a separator, and waiting to be used in the working field was a very nice Verity 8 bottom gang plow.

RE:Paisley Ontario Show

For the Massey Harris gas engine enthusiasts amongst us there was a Type 1 belted up to a M-H pump jack and some very nice Type 2 engines, a 4.5HP belted up and driving a corn sheller and a 6HP on a M-H  grinding mill, always good to see them doing the job they were made to do.
Unfortunately the 1.5HP was taken off the ice cream maker as it would not run, dare I say it was replaced with one of those green and yellow things, the ice cream was still very tasty and would of been even better with some good local grown strawberries.
