Illinois State Show

Looks like the Illinois State Massey Show is shaping up to be a good one!!  Lots of tractors, implements and memorabilia on display.  Of course, Harry & Diana Bowen our the gracious hosts pproviding a great venue at their BP Truck & Auto Station.  Lots of visitors already enjoying what they see!!

Probably one of the nicest displays is Tom Jansens freshly restored Wallis sitting in front of Harrys Pulverizer plow freshly restored as well.  Both are gray and red and almost match perfectly.

We will post some pictures when we can.

RE:Illinois State Show

Yeaaaaa!!!  Thank you Brenden for getting the web site fixed.  I was able to load some pics of the Illinois Show.  I didn't take many pics but there were 149 exhibits on display for all to enjoy.  It was a great display of tractors and implements wrapping around Harry Bowen's BP Truck and Auto Fuel Station.  Harry and Diana were great hosts for the weekend and all appreciated their efforts.

Great weekend for all!!

Gary

RE:Illinois State Show

Looks llike a great show in Illinois with some excellent items on display.

Did anyone make a note of the styled 25 serial number? I wondered if this one is already on Graham Catlin's list of styled 25's or not? another nice restoration with the diamond pattern front gille screens, was it another ex Western Canada tractor?.

Was grey paint found on the Pulverator plow before restoration? I have seen them painted both red and green but this is the first grey one I have come across, nice restoration Harry and looks the part behind the 20-30.

RE:Illinois State Show

Hi Malcolm,

I thought I had a good pic of the serial number on the 25 but it is not as good as I thought.  I will get another one tomorrow.  It has returned to Penfield and is sitting beside its buddy the Wallis.

As for Harry's Pulverator plow I talked to Harry about the colors and he had asked several people with no real conclusionas to red, green or gray so he just had it painted gray.  I don't think he found any gray paint but was happy with the gray results.  His gray and Jansen's Wallis were matched nearly perfect!!  He said the painter mixed a gallon of gray and a quart of black and that is what it came out as!!  No paint codes, chips, just a guess!!

There are a couple GPs here as well.  One with full original tag the other with a repro tag.

There is also a very nice looking gray MH tractor here.  It is labeled I-330.  Sign says it is the only one known  to exist!!  I really like it!!  DUH!!

More pics tomorrow.
