Boy, it doesn't get any better than that!!  Great pic, great tractor, great group of guys, great barn and a great experience for a teen growing up on the farm.  Where all was the pic use?  I have to assume MF used it in various advertising pieces.

Thanks for sharing a little piece of your history, Jerry!!

That surely mist be one of the classiest shots of a North American farm yard.  It combines everything.  A classic barn if ever there was one (we never ahd anything like those over here). the MH tractor, the M-H men and of course your family members.

What a real treasure.  It deserves to be hung in a museum or made into what I am sure would be a very saleable poster/pic.

RE:Family tractors

Thank you Hamel 33 for posting and sharing a great photograph of US Massey history, great memories.
I am curious to know if the tractor is still in your family today? if not do you know of it's existance?

Wouldn't it be something to re create the photograph again with the youger generations in the photograph, that's providing  the tractor can be found and the barn is still standing!!

Malcolm.

RE:Family tractors

I sold the tractor in the late 70'S .It was bought from the Polo Motor Company in Polo , Illinois . They were a Massey and Allis dealer along with a lot of short line machinery companies . The farm was  west of Milledgeville ,Illinois on what  was known as the Runnels farm . The building in the background is a hog house that had a drive through alley with 12 pens on eash side .It also had a hay mow up above and  2 grain bins . The building was there until just a few years ago when it was blown down in a storm.
