UK Wheat Harvest
We cut some wheat this morning using a MF 65 and Albion Binder. Sorry it wasn't a M-H binder but I haven't got mine going yet.
Albion binders were made in England. Slightly heavier than a M-H which I am told was a disadvantage in the horse drawn days.
The straw from the crop will go for thatching. I don't think you thatch the roofs of your house in North America with straw but we use to and they still need repairing.
We do have more modern ways of havesting wheat this side of the pond but not for cutting thatching straw!!!!!!!
We will be flying out to Canada on 10th August and going to the sale and Expo so hope to meet up with some of you there.
