333 Head and Tail Lights

Anybody got any sources for these lights?  I have two headlights, one is minus the retainer ring.  Both are minus the bulbs.  I also need the tail light.  The tail light has the little paddle switch which selects either red or white light.

The Steiner catalogue doesn't show any lights for the triple series tractors.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks, Glenn

RE:333 Head and Tail Lights

a farmall rear light will work, there is  a spacer on the stud i took a 3/4 drill bit and cut into the bottom of it so it woul fit the bracket better and cut the stud to lenght.  the fronts are hard to come by, the bulbs are impossible.  i made a bulb that works just fine.  i took a normal 4-3/4 reflector, lens and bulb(steiner sells or one from a farmall).  i took the reflector and soderd a ground strap to the  back where the spring is and then on the outer edge for the reflector i sliced the edge in 1/4" sections(the smaller the cuts the easier it bent) placing the lens on the reflector i bent the tabs up the lens.  gary in mn makes the rubber for around it all.  i will post pics in the next couple of days.  no one will tell if this is not original other than the wording on the lens. if you need further help you can give me number and i will call you.  good luck

If you have an original bulb that just doesn't work you can take it apart and unsolder the old unit and resolder in a new socket for a 12 volt bulb.  Put the light back together by crimping the edge in a few places so it will come apart easier if you have to replace the bulb in the future. I have done this several times with good results.

Bob and Tom....good information.  Thanks so much for replying.  The retainer ring on one of my headlights is missing.  I need one of those.  Those rings are a little wider than all other manufacturers I've seen.  As for the front light bulbs, I discovered that Terry Kessel now shows sealed beam bulbs for 333 on his website.  I'll buy a couple of those from him.  As for the rear one, I need the whole thing.  I may try one of the International tail lights, as it looks very similar to the original.  Bob, looking forward to your photos.

Thanks again, Glenn

RE:333 Head and Tail Lights

i used a thin slicer blade on a grinder to make the cuts, a hacksaw distorted the reflector.

RE:333 Head and Tail Lights

the advantage to this is that the bulbs are easy to replace.  the rubber for around the light is available from minesota. I believe the lights from kessels are the same as steiners.  the ring around the light, you should try rick in idaho-  208-756-2239.  good luck.

Nicely done, Bob!  Ingenious work with the lights.

I went ahead and bought two head  lights from Terry Kessel.  It's the whole fixture ready to bolt on.  Only a Massey afficianado would know the difference.  Now to the tail light.
