Belt Pulley for ?

Anybody ever see a Belt Pulley this large for a Massey Harris? It has 6 spokes, 10 splines and it's 18" diameter. Slides right on my 55 shaft but all of the 55's and 555's that I've seen have a 16" pulley.

RE:Belt Pulley for ?

I have a pulley simular to this except it has six splines just like the 44s. I always thought it was for some sort of an implement like a blower or feed grinder, but why would you want to slow them down???

I think you should get it rebuilt and put it on a 55 or 555 as the belt speed would be increased quite a bit. This would make a good blower tractor as you now fill the taller 70-80 foot silos with ease.

Joe, is yours around 18" too or is it just bigger than the normal size for a 44?

RE:Belt Pulley for ?

Wow!! It's even bigger than I thought it was, It measures 22 inch by 7 inch wide. Any Idea what this may have been used for???

RE:Belt Pulley for ?

The 18 inch pulley could have been for an MH 202 or 203?  I think I am right in saying that the standard size for these tractors was 16 inch but different size pulleys were often offered.

Are we sure that it is an M-H pulley?  Can a part number be checked?

Joe - you really do have a whopper!!!!!!  Hope you are OK for snow for next weekend
