Here is the Drohman Auction listing for April 20, 2013.  Pictures should be up on the Nixon Web site in a couple of weeks.

MASSEY COLLECTOR AUCTION
SATURDAY, APRIL 20, 2012  9:00 AM
DUANE “TUB” DROHMAN – RUSKIN, NEBRASKA

Auction Site:  The ball field in the village of Ruskin.

AUCTIONEER’S COMMENT:  We have had the pleasure of knowing Tub for many years. He has been
a big Massey collector for more than 30 years and owns the Drohman’s Massey Harris Museum on Main Street
in Ruskin.  It’s a red and gold shrine, with a neon sign that lights up the nighttime sky.  Tub has chosen at this time to downsize his collection and is offering some wonderful RUNNING Massey tractors at public auction.

RE:Another Duane Drohman Auction

Looking forward to a full report with photographs on Saturday Gary, so please take your camera and notepad with you, they won't take up space on your trailer.

Hi Bob,

Please take good notes for me.  Looks like Maolcolm is looking for a report!! Unfortunately, it will be difficult to report sitting in Danville!!  I had definitely palnned to attend but my truck had other ideas!!

Please be sure to tell Tub I said "HI" and give him a big hug from Ony!!  (He will appreciate it!!)

Thanks

Gary

RE:Another Duane Drohman Auction

I have just got back from three days at the Norwich indoor tractor show, after unloading the GP I dashed into the house to turn on the computer expecting to see a full report and photographs of Tub's auction, Thanks Bob for your pre sale up date, but Gary I just can't beleive you have been sat at home this weekend?????? didn't anyone offer you a ride??? hope you made good use of the weekend and put that extra hours into the 22K project I heard S&S were heading out there to Nebraska.

Look forward to hearing all about the auction.

Malcolm.

RE:Another Duane Drohman Auction

Here is what I found to be the most interesting portion of Tub's auction. The line up of 44s with different engines.
  1. Clear to the left - a 44K (Kerosene)
  2. Next, a 44-6 (6 cylinder Continetal)
  3. Then a 44 Diesel
  4. Fourth one a 44 High Altitude
  5. Last one in picture a 44 Special LP (Propane)
  6. And just out of the picture to the right a 44 Special standard gas
I don't recall ever seeing this many different powered 44s at one place at one time before. Truely a unique collection!

RE:Another Duane Drohman Auction

Tub's tractors sold very well. Usually at an auction with this many Masseys there are one or two which sell a little low but in my mind every tractor brought a good price considering it's rarity and condition. I've got a spreadsheet I'll attempt to attach showing the selling price of most of the Massey Family tractors on the sale. I missed a couple Fergusons.

RE:Another Duane Drohman Auction

Thanks for the photgraphs Bob, good to see the weather was more co operative in Nebraska than the snow in MN at the moment.

As you say nice to see the variations together side by side, did you add anything to your collection on the day?

I thought Gary and Drew would be after the 44 K to keep their 22K company in the stable, a collection of "K" tractors would be very unique in the USA.

MAlcolm.

RE:Another Duane Drohman Auction

The sale prices are listed on Nixon auctioneers website. The 101 Supers seemed a little low, but others were pretty good. Bob did anything follow you home?
