Massey Display at the Norwich Indoor Tractor Show

Last weekend saw the second of our early season indoor tractor shows on Norwich Agricultural Showground in Norfolk, England.

Around 400 tractors present onsite including a special feature of  Pre 1930 Veteran tractors, many other makes and a record number of Doe Triple D tractors at  a show, I think the number was 24, of which 12 took part in a special "Dancing Doe Dance" in the main ring. Watching over them was Bob Parke's Tandem M-H 55.

Malcolm:

Sounds like I missed a great show!! You know how I like the older iron, I have seen many of these before but never get sick of looking at them. Bet the dancing Doe's was quite a site to see too!!!!

I really could use that shed that the tractors are displayed in I went GP hunting last weekend and came home with some new toys, now i need a bigger toybox to fit them all in.

RE:Massey Display at the Norwich Indoor Tractor Show

Joe,

Well looks like you have been out of town for a few days gathering up a few more GP's to fit into your collection,  you will soon need to build on an extension to the barn, have you reached 40 in number yet? I think you will soon need an apprentice mechanic to help you keep everything in order and get to hear them all run.

Malcolm:

Not 40 yet but very close to twenty, Speaking of making room for new additions are you cleaning a space for Lot # 3229 Serial #1493??? I would love to see it in your collection the next time we make a visit. We are chearing for you on this side of the pond as it is out of my league for now expecially after comming up with tax money this month.

Joe,

Clearing the space in the shed is the least of my worries, I was hoping you would be on the plane by now to give some moral Wallis support on Saturday, we need to form a "Wallis syndicate"  with the expected figures which have been floating around this past few weeks it looks like it is going to be an interesting day, I will post pictures next week after the sale. Just think if we did not pay any taxes what would be in our sheds??? we could invest the money far better than our Governments do!!

Malcolm:

We were cheering for you over here for the purchase of the British Wallis, Don't know if it did any good or not but I hope it did!!

I went to the Swap meet in LeSueur there wasn't much there for Massey sutff but the old Chevy did manage to haul home a Massey Harris PTO driven potato digger from there.

Now I need to find this Cultivator/Hoeing attachment for one of my GPs so I can get into the Potato business, any ideas as where I can find one?????

RE:Massey Display at the Norwich Indoor Tractor Show

Well it just shows how fast a year goes, it does not seem long since I started this thread after the 2012 show and here we are the 2013 show is now just memories.

This is the tractor which I managed to drag out the shed door first and load up for the show. It sat in the same display shed as another tractor which was featured on this site following an auction last year.
Hopefully Joe will be taking notice of a few mechanical changes to the British Wallis since it was last seen on here.
