Lathrop Show

Did anyone make it to the show in Lathrop, MO? If so got any pictures or stories?

RE:Lathrop Show

I had planned to go but ended up selling the combine in Kansas.  We went on an expedition into Nebraska instead.

The money was burning a whole in my pocket so I had to buy something.  It will cost a small fortune to fix it up but what the __  we are all a bunch of rich, lazy ....

A special tidbit about this sign.  It was made in Marion, Indiana!!  sent to a dealership in Belleville, KS then went into a collection in Mankato, Kansas, then to Edgar, Nebraska and now back home in Indiana!!

It is the painted version with neon.  Already got a guy looking at bringing it back but  he said "it won't be cheap"!!!

Very nice addition Gary, a lot easier to transport than the combine, probably more expensive to fix though!!.

Interesting history of the sign which brought back memories for me of Bellville and Mankato, following the 1994 Wild Harvest National Massey Show in Waverley Nebraska I stayed the night in Bellville heading to the Jim Decker Massey Auction in Mankato the following day, seems a long time ago now, it was a very interesting auction one of the early vintage sales by Nixon's, Jim had put together a wonderful Wallis and Massey collection with a little help from Dick Carrol.

The sign actually came from Jim Decker. I am not aware that it went through the sale but he did get it from the dealership in  Belleville.  I don't know the name of the dealer yet but will try to figure it out.
