I got one just like it in the mail a couple days ago so I had Jo list it under Events. I did not realize that Gene had that much stuff. Gene is the man that always came to the shows and made rope for people he was quite good at it and made some very nice looking ropes over the years. Looking forward to seeing some of you there.

RE:MAY 4TH AUCTION

I plan on going, There is a few things I have my eye on.

I met Gene at Chuck Cooney's sale when I was really young then. My grandpa bought one of our 201's there and of course we had no trailer with us so Gene hauled it home for my grandpa. If anybody else remembers the sale it was terribly cold and even colder heading north so by the time the 201 got to MN the water in the rear end froze up and we couldnt even get it off the trailer! We had to run hot water over it for about and hour in the shop to get it thawed out and off the trailer. One of those funny stories I will never forget.

RE:MAY 4TH AUCTION

Looks like some good stuff.

Joe - Thanks for the reminder about the events tab.  That is full of all kinds of activities to participate in.  I will have to check back there more frequently.

RE:MAY 4TH AUCTION

Where are the pictures and report of the auction last Saturday? was there no MCA members there?? maybe there was some cheap Massey's in MN????

Malcolm.

RE:MAY 4TH AUCTION

Made it to the auction but didn't get any tractors. I did however manage to come home with four plows and an engine. The engine was way out of my norm... It is an Edwards two cylinder gas engine made in Springfield, Ohio one of those things that I just had to have....

The tractors sold fair some a bit cheap but others about market value. I did own several of them for a minute or two but that soon ended. All in all I think it did pretty good.

Joe, The vineyard plow you ended up with, is it rare I have never seen one before???? Sure looked neat. Were you luck enough to get the 2 bottom walking plow bought??? Havent ever seen one of those either.

Did anyone else go to the sale and happen to look at the front steel wheels on the 33 were they original??? We spoke with a gentelmen at the sale and he questioned them. Was just curious??

We were lucky enough to end up with the 30 really looking forward to the upcomeing show season!!!!!
