Update on Roger O.
I just talked with Pat. Roger actually had a quadruple by-pass. They started out with a stint in one artery, but quickly figured out that wasn't going to do it, so they had to open him up. They took the stint out, and did the 4 bypasses. He is now off of the ventilator, and doing well. There was apparently very little heart damage, and they expect a full recovery.
As blocked as it sounds like his arteries were, once he heals up from the surgery, he is bound to feel better than he has been with the improved blood flow.
He is still in ICU at Toledo hospital, with limited visitation. By Sunday he will probably be moved from ICU to a normal room. Don't yet know when he will get to go home.
Tough journey, but lucky they caught it when they did.
Keep Roger in our thoughts, and hopefully he is recovered well enough to join us for the Spring Meeting in March.
