MH 50 Hi-Arch

There is a Massey Harris 50 Hi-arch for sale in my area. It has 38" rear tires on it. Are these fairly common or rare? I don't think I've ever seen on before. Of course MH are not very common in my area.

Thanks

RE:MH 50 Hi-Arch

According to MASSEY TRACTOR DATA BOOK c 1999 there were 15,707 MH 50 tractors produced in 3 years, (1955,1956 and 1957) . From what I have seen there are more Utilities around than Hi-archs however I have seen few Trycycle ones. Where are you from?

RE:MH 50 Hi-Arch

Hey Steve,

I couldn't say that a Massey-Harris 50 hi-arch is "rare"...  But, like GinMinnesota said, they probably aren't as plentiful as the M-H 50 utility.  The tricycle, or NF version would probably be more rare than the hi-arch wide front.

Do you have any pictures you could share?  What is the asking price?

Thanks,

JB

RE:MH 50 Hi-Arch

Steve,

I don't know the numbers but there definitely are less NFs than WFs.  In fact, I always knew I wanted a NF Hi-Arch but was sure I would only find a WF easily!!  So I had the opportunity to purchase a NF spindle about 5 years BEFORE I ever bought the WF tractor!!  Just could not pass it up.

Attached are a couple of pics of the same tractor!!

PS I know - wrong bronze!!

RE:MH 50 Hi-Arch

I'm located near Waterloo, IL.. Tractor is near Smithton, IL., less then 10 miles from me. It's being offered by a used equipment dealer, he's has it advertised for $3900 or $3950. I know from personal experience he can be talked down on price

I'm in the St. Louis area. Tractor is a WF. I have seen it driving by, haven't stopped and looked at it, altho the paint looks good. If anyone is interested I can prvide contact imfo. I don't have the money nor the space for another tractor right now.
