Son Trystan has just purchased this MF AgTV. (Quad bike, ATV)

We are wondering if MF sold these in N. America?  They were made by Arctic Cat in Minnesota ( so maybe Joe had a hand in building it!!) and sold here from about 2000 onwards but no longer.  We are uncertain as to how many were sold here but will endeavour to find out.

This was the smallest model in the range being a 250 cc petrol engine with two wheel drive hence the model designation 250/2.   It starts and runs well. He bought it from a local farmer who bought it new and seems to have looked after it well.  We haven't seen many, if any, about and they may not have sold particularly well given the intense competition from so many other makes.

OOPS!!! Sorry can't get the photos on because they are too large.  When is this inadequacy of the site to be fixed or an automatic "compressor" installed?  Gary - action please!!!

With all this rain and water about John you will now need to find a 4WD version to get around the farm, I think young Sam and David will enjoy this latest toy in a few years time, you will have tyre dirt tracks everywhere!!!!

You would think with them being made in the US there would be a few around but...
Now that would be a great toy to take to the shows!!  Just put it in the back of the truck and go!!

It's interesting that you are not aware of any MF AgTVs over there.  It could be that they were never sold by MF there.  Over here the emerging picture I have is that not too many were sold - I had certainly never seen one before.  I have contacted a contact in AGCO who couldn't trace any record of how many were sold here. 

The farmer who sold this to my son had been the sole owner from new and he gave him the name of the dealer from whom he bought it, so son will in due course get to him and try and get more info.  I was in my local MF dealers the other day and he said very few had been sold in our area.

This one is 11 years old so dates it at 2001

I have a friend who was a Polaris dealer about that time.  I will see him next week so will ask him if he knows anything about them!!

Here is a little info I discovered about the Arctic Cats/MFs in the UK.

The first is a pdf announcing a Diesel version in 2009 (see page 8)

So your 2001 had to be one of the first ones available. 

I would hate to think I would have to import one just to have one with a MF tag on it!!

Thats weird!!  The direct linkDOES only take you to some obsecure location but if you paste the link into your browser and it comes up!!  It was just an article stating the MF was getting out of the ATV business.

Definitely none were sold in the US!!  I did talk to a couple of Polaris dealers around the country and they were somewhat aware of the connection but not much more than we already know.

Might have to put one in the container with those Ponies!!
