It's only one month away! Plan now to attend "The Greatest Show on Earth" at the 49th Annual Badger Steam and Gas Show near Baraboo, Wisconsin, August 17th thru 19th. On Friday evening at 6:00 PM the Massey Family Collectors of Wisconsin will be hosting a picnic for all Massey collectors on the show grounds. There will be lots of good Wisconsin favorite foods, refreshments and door prizes. This is a free will donation meal.

Saturday evening is the MCA banquet and auction of donated items at the Farm Kitchen Restaurant in Baraboo. Reservations are needed, the reservation form can be found in the latest Massey Clipper newsletter. The Badger Steam and Gas Show is one of the best around, and with the Massey Expo of North America it will be even better. It offers something for the whole family; big flea market, good food, lots of shade, homeade pie and ice cream, plenty of parking and a huge display of Massey's.

Baraboo is home to the Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus World Museum". It has the largest collection of intricately carved and beautifully restored circus wagons in the world. See skilled acrobats, horses, jugglers, dogs, clowns, aerialists and elephants in 10 shows daily. For anyone interested in visiting the circus and museum, please meet at the Massey feature building at 10:00 AM Friday, August 17th. The group will car pool. Or anytime while in the Baraboo area.

Will it be possible whilst you are at Baraboo to attract a group to get on with the much overdue task of documenting the MH/MF Racine plant?  It would be a great service to Massey heritage if you could.  And Garry says he has come upon a treasure trove of pics and info

You never know John we might get a big surprise and there be a gathering of old J I  Case and M-H employees at the Banquet, I am sure there are several still alive in the area who would have a few interesting stories to share, it could be an entertaining evening of Racine History.

The Massey Expo of North America is fast approaching, only a few days away. You may want to pack your Massey sweat shirt as the weather forecast for August 17 and 18 is upper 60's, a considerable difference from a couple weeks ago. And, not the norm for this time of year. But, this is Wisconsin and so it could easily change by then.

On Thursday evening we will meet at one or two of the local restaurants for a casual dinner.

Friday evening is the Massey Collector Picnic at the show grounds, please sign up at the Massey feature building when you arrive.

Saturday evening MCA banquet at the Farm Kitchen Restaurant. Area maps will be available at the Massey feature building.
