New Addition!!

Although there are better additions coming to our family very soon, I just have to share the latest one.  It is not even home yet!  This pic came today from the light man working on the neon.

It will make a great night light for the barn!!!

Enjoy!!

RE:New Addition!!

Sweet.

If you have trouble finding a suitable, well sheltered place to hang it, there's a nice spot in my shop where I would be willing to display it for you!   ;-)

RE:New Addition!!

Thanks for the offer, John!!

I guess if I can't find a place to hang it or it is relegated to leaning up in a corner somewhere, I might have to call you!!

Until then, feel free to continue to fill your shop with other great collectible because I doubt if either of the two actions mentioned above will happen!!  LOL!!

I think it will hang over the tractors in the new section of the barn.  When it get up we will post another pic.  It should really look neat after dark. The bright neon shining down on the red hoods of some of those Massey could look awesome!!  We will see!!

RE:New Addition!!

Attached below are some pics of the sign before it was completed.  The sign was a painted sign (not porcelain) so someone had hand painted it years ago.  The sign was completely striped and then had a black base powdercoating applied to it.  Lettering was applied and then the whole sign was clear coated to protect everything.

The neon was completely remade and applied using the original transformer that was in the sign since it still worked.  I thought it was important to keep as much original as possible.  If it ever fails it can be replaced.

The sign was made by the Diskey Advertising and Service Company in Marion, Indiana.  They continue to operate but have moved their headquarters in Ft Wayne, IN.  The sign was originally sold to a dealership North Central Kansas.  From there it found its way into two different collections before it came back home again in Indiana last June.

RE:New Addition!!

John:

If you really want this sign hanging above one of your tractors the answer is very simple, Just do as I did and sell Gary one of your tractors and it can happen......

It's a win win!! Your tractor will get to bask under this beauty and you will free up shed room.

RE:New Addition!!

Joe,

That's a really good idea!

Hey Gary...  I think you need a nice, original MH-30 with mechanical lift, don't you??  I have a couple of others you could pick from as well.   But, sorry, I know how much you like the ones without a "button", but none of those are for sale.   ;-)

JB

P.S.  Is anybody else having to re-sign in every time they go to the website the last few days?  I have marked the "keep me signed in" box every time...  But am still having to sign-in again each day...   What's up with that?

RE:New Addition!!

John, you will have to try a little harder on your offerings!!  I already have two 30s with mechancial lifts.  I don't need another!!  Since I have never owned a 44, I always told Ony that when I purchased a 44 she would know I am done buying tractors!!!  Ask Joe what I brought home from his house!!!  Of course, that was speculating the end of the world was coming.  There are not too many tractors I need so I am probably in a situation that before one comes in, another one will have to go out!!

Anyone want to buy a 202 Workbull that is "90% restored" (according to eBay seller!!) ? How about a nice MF 65 with backhoe and loader?  Great digger!!

Opportunities!!!
