M-H 44 power steering

I am installing a power steering unit on a 44. It has an alternator with a 1 inch wide pulley for the fan belt. I will need a double pulley on the alternator to run the power steering pump. Do I have to make something or is there a pulley out there that works for this? Any info or pictures would help. Thanks,  Todd

RE:M-H 44 power steering

Todd,

There is a double pulley for the 44 which runs the power steering unit from the generator pulley.  I only have one parts book here at the house so I can't say for sure if this was a factory or after market option,  here are some pics. I have seen several salvage tractors with these on them.  If you can't  find one let me know, I may be able to sell you this one but need to check the 44 I have torn down to determine whether I need it.

Good luck,

Jeff

RE:M-H 44 power steering

Thanks for the reply Jeff. This tractor has the 1 wire delco alternator on it I will have to check the shaft size to see if it is the same as the generator. I am wondering if the shaft will be long enough. I will let you know if I need a pulley. Thanks, Todd
