Just to balance things up on the Massey table here are a pair of red salt and pepper pots.  They are current MF/AGCO memorabilia.

RE:Massey mens' food!

Here's a nice tea or coffee mug with lots of history to grace the Massey table.  It was produced to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Harry Ferguson's first tractor - the Ferguson Brown.  However it has to be noted that his very first tractor was the Ferguson Black - the prototype of this ( very similar) - and which is now on display in the Science Museum in London.

I'm sure some of you will be having some beer or lager with your Xmas Massey food so do it justice with a lovely MF pewter pint mug

RE:Massey mens' food!

Building up to Xmas now and with cold weather the need for plenty of  sugar in your tea and coffee.  Here's a small teaspoon for that job.  I suspect it may have been issued by the MF Industrials people which I suppose dates it to pre 1980.

RE:Massey mens' food!

Here is my Xmas Eve contribution kindly given to me by the owner of the New Massey House Restaurant in Newcastle Ontario.  Newcastle is of course the original home of Massey and this restaurant is just a block or so away from the still standing original Massey factory.

The little town high street oozes Massey history and going back there whenever we travel to Canada is a bit like a pilgrimmage to Bethlehem which I once visited.  Just soak up the atmosphere and ambience of history.  So perhaps this is an appropriate post for Xmas Eve.

Wayne-  Some nice items there that I haven't seen before - keep them coming!

After a riotous New Years Eve you may require a stiff mug of coffee so here is an MF 50th anniversary mug

RE:Massey mens' food!

Got a great start off to a new year!! Jo and I met up with the Miller's for our traditional new years day get together and decided to go with Mexican food this time, it was great!! Earlier this morning I made a pan of bars to munch on later and it too topped off the taste buds just fine. I told them as long as they were coming this way to bring me a copy of John's latest book Massey Harvesters so they did so. As we talked and exchanged stories most of the day I did not get much time to look at the book but was able to browse the pictures, it looks like I will enjoy it as I spent many hours on the early Massey Harris 60s, 72s, 82s and 92s so it brought back memories just looking at the pictures. So far the new years been great!! Joe
