Here are a few photo's of Massey related tractors working in Lincolnshire last weekend at a Club Working Day.

It was good to see one of the two 11-22 Sawyer Massey tractors in England at work in the field and running well after some recent mechanical engine restoration.

RE:Massey's around the UK Shows in 2013.

Our last show for the 2013 season was The Newark indoor tractor show this last weekend, their feature this year being Wallis, Sawyer-Massey, M-H, Ferguson and M-F.

This event is well known for it's large numbers of trade stalls selling various tractor and implement parts, oils, paints and much more. For all the winter projects planned there was plenty of shopping going on, I suspect there was some Christmas shopping on the book stalls, pottery and card stalls etc.
Saturday there was an onsite auction and Sunday a very popular swap meet, despite the heavy rain overnight collectors were making it through the mud and buying plenty of parts.

Here are a few photographs of the event which struggled to get large numbers of Wallis and M-H, but plenty of grey Ferguson's helped fill out the long feature tent.

RE:Massey's around the UK Shows in 2013.

The Friends of Ferguson Heritage Club had put together a very large and compact gathering of M-F tractors in their heated tent, together with a very small M-H harvesting display including a very original M-H 726 and restored M-H 735 combines and a 701 baler, both these combines attracted a lot of interest in comparison to todays large machines, not many of the younger generation of collectors remember or knew of bagging the corn on the combine, that seemed to be the main topic of conversation around these machines, together with the amount of dust the operators worked in.

There was some very nice M-H implements around the various display buildings, one local preservation group put on a M-H display including a Sunshine drill and grain binder, M-H 33 grass mower, Dickie hay turner and M-H hammer mill.

RE:Massey's around the UK Shows in 2013.

The East Anglia group of the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club under the guidance of Chairman Gordon Carson and his helper Mathew raised the level of club stands and displaying of tractors this year with the use of mirrors behind their tractors to enable the public walking past the front of their display to see what the tractor looks like from behind. It certainly caught most people's eye, visitors and exhibitors.

Gordon is always thinking ahead with promoting his Club.

Here are the two Masseys owned by Gordon and his friend Bryan.
