You have asked the very same question I asked my dad in 1987 when I restored the 734 mower gandad bought new, on stripping it down I found it to be red frame and cream wheels, which I was told the later 1940's and 50's production was this colour.
The early 734 often with "made in Canada" cast into the frame was green with cream wheels, the transition from that was green levers, red frame and cream as per your brochure, the one thing I have never come across before is the Massey Harris along the side of the main frame. Has anyone else seen this on an original mower?
If you sandblast or clean your frame well Alan the serial number is stamped in the top near the drawbar at the front, I found mine after sandblasting, think it was on the side where the jack bolts to.
