Thank you to everyone who came to the Massey Days Reunion and National Donkey Convention at our place last weekend. The rain and mud did not keep people away. Ninety Massey and Wallis tractors plus equipment covered the front yard. Vendors and indoor displays filled a 60 foot building. The Massey Corral included a Clydesdale (M.F. 97) and a Percheron (another 97) along with Mustangs, Colts, Pacers and Ponys. There was even a white M.H. 30. Hopefully, we'll see a story in a future Massey magazine about it's past.
A huge thank you for all the auction items and generous bidders, for those that brought tractors, equipment, vendors and displays. To all who helped before, during and after the show. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Over one hundred stuffed donkeys mysteriously showed up. They were found sitting on tractors, inside mailbox, in the museum, in the barn, they were everywhere! We were worried! On Thursday, when a truck and cattle trailer pulled in with P.A.M. stenciled on the side, we didn’t know what to think? But, it turned out to be a very clever joke.
A big applause to the performers on Friday night. Their talents were outstanding! Will there be more at future Massey Days?
It is true and it showed that ”Old Massey’s Collect the Nicest People”.
It was truly, a Massey family reunion and we are proud to have hosted this special event.
Thank you to our Massey family!
