US MH's to UK

Thank you John and Malcolm for the info in regards to the questions on US tractors going to the UK.  Wasn't aware of some of that.  Thought I would move the discussion over to this site.  I know there's a lot of knowledge on this site. The 6 cyl. Perkins engine installed over there made one sweet tractor.  It apears the 744/745 were the only model produced (so to speak) over there.  Do you ever see any 22's or 30's that were imported.  With the variety of farm sizes, I wonder why they didn't make a 722 or 730?

I seen a picture of a collection in Holland with some post-war tractors.  Almost all of them were "K" models.  I thought, "this guy is the luckiest guy ever".  Malcolm, your comment about the dual fuel imports helps explain this.

No point when there was a better tractor available as the Fergusons and then the Ferguson/MF 35s.  MHs were  dinasour tractors by this time for most purposes

Interesting point.  Did any of the later 744/745 series have the hand clutch live PTO?

RE:US MH's to UK

No - certainly not to my knowledge

I see some of the 744/745 have a hydraulic lift for the 3-point mounted under the seat that I have never seen before.  Takes the place of our cylinder and rock shaft assembly on the depth-o-matic.
Looks more advanced.  Maybe a rack and pinion design inside?  Were these cast and machined in Britain?

RE:US MH's to UK

The lifts were an MH optional extra and made by Ardrolic in Scotland
