Challenger 13.50-32 tires + rims?????

Has anyone ever seen original rims other than 36" on a Challenger?

Does anybody have a list of French & Hecht wheel numbers & what they fit on?  Is there a book that contains this information?

Or if you just want the bottom line - there were 4 rear options specifically listed for MH Challenger plus several for other MH that may or may not also fit Challenger. The rear options are

F438 Wheel with HC257 Hub casting 32x8.00
F274 Wheel with HC257 Hub casting 36x6.00
F76 Wheel with HC257 Hub casting 36x8.00
F432H Dual Wheel with HC230A Hub casting 40x5.50

This piece of information you have provided is a classic example of how useful this site can be if people just make the effort.    There is so much small detail still to come "out of the woodwork" to further enhnace the knowledge and enjoyment of our hobby.

Well done and thank you
John

Thanks - I just wish there was a good place to post the whole list in pdf or xls form so resource would be out there in more accessable form. I'm always looking for more F&H info as I have a late 40's MM with wheels that are not in the 1940 list.

Hi MHEd!!

I agree with both you and John about the information.  Maybe the web site could have a resource library or folder for those types of information.  I know I copied all of Johns information about Massey related books he had posted on the old web site.  A resource link would be a good place to store that information as well.

There was also a thread on the old site about Wallis tractors that would have been great to archive into a resource folder.  Same with the factories and buildings recently posted about the Cleveland Wallis factory.

Joe & Jo Jo might have to bring the web site committee together to make that happen!!

Keep the sharing going!!

I've got some vintage tire info - original Firestone, Goodyear, & Goodrich pamphlets - the F&H data actually came out of a 1940 vintage Goodrich Price & Data book - original Marvel Schebler books, Zenith books and Outlines - If there were a place to post those, I might be more inclined to scan more of them.
