RE:Illinois State Show

I re-looked at the Jansens tractors today at Penfield and these were the block numbers for both.  You can read them in the pics now that you know what you are lookingat!!

The Jansen styled 25 serial number is 84557.  The original serial tag is on this tractor but I could not read the numbers!?!?!?

The Jansen 20-30 Wallis is serial number 59007 . The original serial tag is 63777.

Dennis- is your numbers a different styled 25 they might have?  Both of these tractors are the same that were at Orangeville.

RE:Illinois State Show

Gary  I was going from memory . Your 84557 + 471 = 85028 not 85023 like I thought .
I was just comparing Tom's and Charlies 25's. .Charlies 85106 being a later production had  quit a bit
earlier production date on top of the trans.
I was just doing some home work before restoring mine someday. You don't get to see a red 25 every day especially two at a show.
 Both very nice
Dennis

RE:Illinois State Show

My styled 25 # is 73152.  The  40th one off the line.

RE:Illinois State Show

There is a styled MH 25 on rear steel on an auction in Russiaville, IN. on July 27. It is not listed in the auction list but is shown in the pictures. Several other unusual MH tractors. www.maxscottauctions.com  Unfortunately only the Indianna guys can buy them as the auctioneer does not take credit cards or out of state checks.

RE:Illinois State Show

That 25 looks like another one that might need to be saved from the junk man!

RE:Illinois State Show

I hope the 25 at Russiaville goes to a Massey collector. I would like to know the serial number of that one if anyone goes to the auction. The earliest number I have listed for a styled 25 is at Killarney here in Manitoba number 73121.

RE:Illinois State Show

Good to see you back on here Graham, I have stopped and looked at that 25 in the Killarney Museum a few times when passing through.

Hope J W B buys the 25 in the Rushville auction, it will take up far less shed space then the recent desire for the M-F 4840.

Malcolm.

John:

What are you saying??  If I get a day off work and bring a big box of money to this auction you still won't let me have it because I am a Junk Man??  I would really like to have this one in my collection, I think I hear it calling my name....

Joe

RE:Illinois State Show

Well I guess we know who takes exception to be called a Junk Man!

You would need to bring a wad of cash because they don't take credit cards or take out of state checks!

And, if you drive down I will be sure to meet you there and watch the bidding battle!!

RE:Illinois State Show

Joe,

Perhaps taken out of context - although, in some respects you are the junk man, right?!?  That was just in reference to the Styled 25 sitting in my barn which I did save from a local "junk man" (as in scrap iron guy).  The one in this auction could well be in better shape than the one I brought home.  It won't be me bidding against you!  (Even though I could just write a check....)   ;-)
