Bill:

You could go and by the one on Tub's auction comming up soon.... It is not too far from you.  Serial # 44GIRA 1149 I believe this is the picture of it but they are not very well marked.

44GSA1003 with engine MHA260G56924_5 sold on eBay in 2007 - as i recall it was in fair condition and brought reasonable $ for that time - got over my budget.

Also saw a 44 Standard High Alt an auction - maybe 2010 - cant remember where but i recall it was in very sad shape.

While we'rte  on odd stuff - I have a power unit out of a drag line that is MHA277B10066 and I have an eye on a 44 Wheatland with a K engine. 44K1WH43253 with MHA260K50199

RE:hi altitude tractors

We have a 201 High Altitude. It originally came from The Pas Manitoba.

Bill - here is the 44 Hi Alt with 4 row planter you mentioned.  It also had the extra long axles.  Very neat tractor!

Drew:

That sure must be a High Altitude tractor as it must be floating arround in Cyber Space somewhere because the picture did not show up on my end here.

MHEd,
The 44 Wheatland, 44KIWH 43253, that you are talking about is actually a Wide Axel/ Riceland.  There are only five known.  I have an LP and a gas and there is another one in Indiana.  One is in Missouri and one may be in Kansas ( I talked to a man at one of the MENA shows and he said he has one).  Keep track of it because it would be a great find.

MHEd,
I didn't get to finish on the other post.  The picture on my first post is my gas.  I found it in Victoria, TX.  My LP is the one on the back cover of  Legacy Quarterly vol 01 issue 04.  I bought it in Belleville, IL at an auction.  This picture is a "K" that has been converted to LP sometime.  It too is in Indiana.
