RE:RCAF Tractors

Thanks BIll.

Could you also comment on any other RCAF models you have seen/hear about/own/know of?

RE:RCAF Tractors

Drew,

The front wheels on the 81 at Yuma do look like cast centers to me in that photo posted.  Just another man's opinion.   :-)

RE:RCAF Tractors

Glad to see I have sparked the opinion of several others, even if they dont think my tractor is right (GARY HAHA!). The blue color that is on our 20 does not look like the same shade as the 81 from Yuma, it is much lighter. Also it does not have RCAF painted on the side. It is very possible that this tractor may have been purchased by the A Thraska Air airport??? for nonmilitary use??? I guess if nothing else we have a conversation piece!! I am not sure if the front wheels are cast, its at dads 100 miles away.

RE:RCAF Tractors

Does anyone know where I can find an 82std???? military or not does not matter???

RE:RCAF Tractors

John:  I agree with you too!

81 look cast
82 look stamped

RE:RCAF Tractors

the front wheels of the 81 were cast and unique on to the 81. It also had a welded plug for the exhaust in the hood.

there were 101jr RCAF tractors also.

I have one.

Chuck Cooney may of had one in 97 it was painted yellow with the blue paint underneath.

I have also heard a rumor of a 101 super painted olive drab green US army?

RE:RCAF Tractors

This is a picture of a 20 that sold on Arlo Paxton's sale in Illinois from 2005. It may be the same tractor. I did not right down the serial number.

RE:RCAF Tractors

There was another 81 with cast iron front wheels sold on the Eckel auction in SK a few years ago. The one in Yuma and the Eckel tractor are the only 81's I have seen left with cast fronts. Has anybody seen others?

RE:RCAF Tractors

Chris,

Could you post a picture of your RCAF and the serial number?  Look forward to seeing it.

RE:RCAF Tractors

Thats my tractor!!!! The 20 in the picture is exactly what we have. I will have to check on the serial number.
