It is a long while since we had any contributions to this thread so for today here is a piece of incredible early tractor data.
This was recently sent to me by another collector of tractor literature, he found this in a Agricultural Gazette Magazine dated January 14th 1921, it is titled "A Tractor Balance Sheet", what an incredible account of facts and figures of running a Wallis Cub Junior betweeen 1918 and 1921, clearly detailing the acres ploughed, cultivated, hay cutting, harrowing, threshing and hauling all this amazingly calculated to miles travelled by the tractor, then detailed running costs of petrol, paraffin, oil, wages and repairs.
Showing earnings, expenses and a balnce profit. We expect this level of accounting today but I never expected to see it from the Wallis Cub Junior era of the teens and early 20's
Also note the ploughing was done with both a two furrow *****shutt ploughs and three furrow Case depending of soil types.
Hope you find this as intersting as I have and hope you may come up with a comparison from North America.
