Here are a few more special items for you.  Glad you have enjoyed the rest.  I think this will be my last posting on this thread - stocks exhausted.  One of the bikes that made nearly 4000$ has later been reported as a fake!  How true it is I don't know.  And apparently the small three wheel child's bike labelled Sunshine was not the Sunshine company related to Massey-Harris.  I can't say as I don't know enough about the MH bikes - in fact I know next to nothing!  I bought the third one shown with the carrier after the sale from the chap who had purchased it and only wanted the carrier off it!

Is there anyone out there who can enlighten us on the whole range of MH bicycles?

The Sawyer Massey steam boiler was apparently sold by mistake!!!  George had wanted to keep it to convert to a barbecue.  As soon as it was sold the buyer removed that lovey door - a valuable collector's item in itself

The chain saws sold for remarkably good money - I filed on the small one which I would have liked.

Well the two larger items that I purchased from the Smyth sale arrived the other day having survived being containerised across the Atlantic.  Nice to get them back and unloaded.  They are an MH No 1A Buzz saw and an MH horse drawn potato lifter - the latter has Verity Plow Co. origins and was marketed by MH

Mid December I got to collect my purchases from the Smyth auction which had arrived a week or two earlier into South Wales, so over the Christmas and New Year holidays I have been steadily working away getting them put in their new home.

Here is the Canuck Hillside plough, which should get a few of the British plough specialists talking when they see it, something a little different to what we know here as a "reversible" plough.

Here is another nice horse drawn implement from George's sale all cleaned up, oiled, wood treated with linseed oil and ready for putting away on display, all part of the steady New Years Day activities.
