Wild Harvest, Vol. 18, No. 5 &6 from 2000 has an extensive reproduction of 1949 Dealer Merchandising Aids. Page 33 shows th <MH> style dealer decals, sold in quatities of 250 only for $12.50, post-paid.
The same page also shows window and machine decals with the "Tractors", "Combines" and "Implements" bars added, but not on the small dealer decals. I'm guessing that those 250 probably lasted many of the smaller dealers for several years!
This particular issue of Wild Harvest contains a wealth of information about many of the highly prized collectibles that we see being sold today. Just imagine one of the 28" by 8 foot long porcelain enamel signs, (black and red with yellow lettering) for only $11.50. F.O.B. Racine.
Thanks, Keith Oltrogge, for publishing this valuable reference guide, and for drawing our attention to some of the people who have made our hobby what it is!
Sincerely,
