RE:Cast Iron M-H Memorabilia

This is a mixed board of small cast iron pieces of memorabilia.  It includes a mower hub plate, fertiliser spreader tin hub plate, foot pedal control for a binder, drill seed box end plate, tin tool box and cast tool box lid, Dickie (MH) plate and MH SAM (self acting manual) rake foot board.

There's lots to find out there ...............

Tractors too can be a source of attractive cast iron memorabilia.  Here are three from Wallis tractors - a radiator top, front hub caps and a steering wheel.

RE:Cast Iron M-H Memorabilia

Here's a real solid little piece of cast iron memorabilia.  It is a grip for a Massey-Harris tank track.

The regular tracks had a relatively smooth profile but if extra traction was required a set of these could be fitted to the track links.  The tanks would carry a full set of these and the could be rapidly fitted.

So I have one part at least for my much desired M-H tank!

Here's a lovely solid piece from the front grill of a tractor.  No prizes for guessing which one ............

RE:Cast Iron M-H Memorabilia

This is a very attractive piece of "old iron".  It is the footplate from a Massey-Harris stalk cutter which were used for chopping up tobacco stems after leaf harvest - and no doubt other crops.  Quite a fearsome mechine which would not pass today's health and safety inspectors!

Earlier on in this thread I showed a wheel weight with faulty lettering.  Here is its partner with perfect lettering and showing MHF for Massey-Harris-Ferguson.

RE:Cast Iron M-H Memorabilia

This morning I have been catching up on reading the recent activity on this website, some lovely pieces of cast iron memorabilia coming out for everyone to see and I am sure there will be many more posts to come yet.

One of my favourite pieces of cast iron is the Wallis paperweight, now a very desirable collectable to have on your shelf.

RE:Cast Iron M-H Memorabilia

We have not covered many Sawyer Massey items on this website yet so here is a desirable item for the S-M collector to have in his cast iron memorabilia.

I know there are a few of these jacks scattered around the world, more in Canada and the USA,  from memory one still gets used in MN and here is mine painted up.

Another heavy piece of cast iron is the Sawyer Massey smoke box door from the steam engine.
I think this one is from the larger 76 S-M engine and just waiting for me to find the rest of the engine.
