Next Generation Massey Driver

It was pretty cold out today, but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm of this future Massey driver.  The M-H 55 seemed to be his favorite, although he did like all of the MF LGTs, which certainly fit him better.  He was pretty much lost on the low seat of the Pacemaker Orchard, and obviously from the look on his face in the photo, disappointed that I didn't get the 4840 out so that he could drive it around the farm.   :-)

Grandson Carter up for a visit from North Carolina.  He's my next generation tractor man.  :-)

RE:Next Generation Massey Driver

Great family album photo's John,

I am very pleased to see Carter looking so happy on your Red Orchard Pacemaker, obviously he has great taste for quality at an early age, trust you will cultivate his "U" frame passion in your collection?
I am not so sure he is very keen on the 4840 at the moment, suppose it seems like a "monster" to him.

Malcolm.

Doesn't look like the cold weather will slow him down any!!  He will be ready for his own garden tractor before long!!

RE:Next Generation Massey Driver

Sure!  That would be cool to have in a collection.  But I would probably kill myself on it.  Besides John F would probably be so repulsed that he would never speak to me again!

RE:Next Generation Massey Driver

Drew,

The vulgarity of it appalls me but clearly someone has done a godd job of it.  You are right - I wouldn't talk to you.  Instead I would LECTURE you in no uncertain terms!!!!

RE:Next Generation Massey Driver

Good luck John!! I have been lecturing him for almost 36 years without success!!

That machine is definitely an awesome ride but it would also kill you.  Nothing like going 100 mph with just a mower deck under your feet, a steering wheel to hold on to and a cast iron seat to at least guide your butt!!  Of course, who would need a seat belt?

But John, if you can help in any other ways to guide and direct this poor lost soul, I will be forever grateful.

Gary,

I'll do what I can to assist!!

Trust you saw my response to your query on the industrial dates?

John

RE:Next Generation Massey Driver

John,

Any help is appreciated on rearing children!!

Yes I saw your response on the industrials. I had looked thru the books but I was not sure if 1970 would get it.  I am finishing up the rest of the MCA DVDs and I have a tape introducing the "all new" backhoes.  I wanted to put on the sleeve the date it was produced.  Unfortunately, I don't have enough room to put your name on as a "contributor"  Sorry!! ;>)

I guess he didn't want to sell it.  The listing is pulled!
