I didn't manage a Christmas Day start-up, but did get one done today on New Year's Day, 2017. I selected the 1938 Pacemaker Orchard for the start up. It hadn't been run since August, 2016. It wanted a bit more choke than I was giving it initially. I wanted to make sure I didn't flood it.
It was a balmy 40 degrees F in the barn at the time of start-up. Warmer than normal here for this time of year.
