RE:Paisley Ontario Show

Just look at this amazing line up of ten 100 Series M-F tractors at the Expo, all these owned by one person, an amazing contribution to the show and a lot of effort into getting them cleaned, prepared and transported to Paisley, all very neatly lined up in order.

Also a very rare piece of Ferguson equipment seen parading at the show, one which I have not seen before.

RE:Paisley Ontario Show

Now we will have a look at some of "The Gems of the 2013 Paisley Massey Expo"

M-H ladies bicycle with original pouch, gas engine glass dry cell battery container, both these items exhibited by Steve Miller.

Very original M-H wooden No1 wheelbarrow with removable sides from nearby Listowel Ontario.

For me it is seeing these unusual Massey items is what makes the 3500 mile journey worthwhile and variety of exhibits all helps to make up a great show, Ontario is still the place for quantity and quality of all the small Massey Memorabilia.

RE:Paisley Ontario Show

I notice this post takes me to the 500th contribution to this site so it has to be something "Special" from the Massey Expo.

Actually whilst I was driving in Ontario with John Joe and Steve in the car we got a glimpse of a "very special" exhibit on it's way to the show.

Later in the day as we drove into the Massey Display area and one of the first exhibits visitors would see approaching the entrance to the Feature Tent, was the rare M-H 25 Power Unit, which was the frst time I have seen this unstyled unit out in the public view, only seeing it by torch light in the rear of  a shed three years ago.
The styled 25 power unit from the same stable was at the 1997 150th Anniversary Show in Milton.

As you can imagine there was Massey Collectors worldwide round that unit like a bee round a honey pot.

Enjoy the pictures.

RE:Paisley Ontario Show

The next excitement of the show for me was seeing for the first time ever an implement manufactured by Patterson of Woodstock, Ontario another Company taken over by Massey Harris. For several years I have had a Patterson cast iron seat in my collection which I presume is off a grain binder?
Here at Paisley was a Patterson No 11 walking plow and yet another implement worthy of getting the camera out of the pocket.

There was also some very nice Massey Harris signs at the entrance to the feature tent, diplayed inside the tent and a very nice double sided one out in the display area.

RE:Paisley Ontario Show

Another Paisley Expo Special was to have two Massey Harris 744 tractors at the event, for us overseas visitors we are used to seeing these tractors at shows and recognise the sound of the Perkins P6 engine, these two were certainly a treat for all the North American Massey Collectors to admire.
One has regularly been shown in Ontario for several years now and been at previous Expos at Milton, the other again from the Listowel area of Ontario has recently come out from the back of the shed and very nice to see it at the show. John enjoyed fine tuning the Perkins sound with the proud owner.

RE:Paisley Ontario Show

Back inside the feature tent there was some great items on display, below are a few photogrpahs of the variety of M-H cream separators, from a very early hand turned No 2 up to a No 11 electric one.

Also a very nice No 4 Hand Grinder which I understand found a new owner after some "trading" over the weekend and hope we see the grinder in it's new Indiana home on here shortly, maybe the new paint is still wet at the moment and that's why we have not seen it !!!

For the Massey Collectors who are into collecting the M-H paper material, what a wonderful display of early M-H Calendars and posters was seen inside the feature tent and another fantastic display in a box trailer behind the tent.

RE:Paisley Ontario Show

Here are a few other interesting and unique items of memorabilia on display in the tent, some from as far back as the "Massey Manufacturing" era which pre dates Massey Harris.

These photographs are just a small representation of a wonderful display of Massey Memorabilia, well done to everyone who put it together, we appreciated your efforts, we only get to see displays of this magnitude every five years when the Expo is north of the border.

RE:Paisley Ontario Show

One Ontario Twin Power Member put on a superb display of Massey models and memorabilia in his large box trailer, here are one or two photographs of some of his model display.
