Half of century progress

Here are a few pictures from the half century show at rantoul Illinois from a couple weeks ago. Had great weather and a good amount of masseys show up I believe there was around 70 tractors there.

RE:Half of century progress

Good to see the photo's of the Massey combines out at work again this year Damond, you certainly looked to have superb dry conditions for the event, maybe too dry and hard for the small M-F tractor plowing??? but he looked to be turning it over well.

I have heard a lot about this event over the years, but never managed to be there when its on, am I correct in thinking its not an annual event?? expect it's a fairly local event for you.

Malcolm.

Damond &  Malcolm:
Thanks for those pictures which just add to my frustration of not making it this year.
I was to go over from Ohio but my IHC buddy had to back out day before. (Malcolm, buddy had golf cart!!)
I have watched several YouTube vids on show which really increased my interest in going in two years. Thanks for taking time in shooting pics and posting Damond.

Malcolm, best of my knowledge it is a semi-annual show. Beside the static display the working of vintage iron is getting more meaningful to me. Some folks hit the engine/tractor show in Portland, IN then go to Rantoul. They overlap.

Malcolm, I just talked to Charlie Plott who has had a knee replaced. He has already had physical therapy and mobile. He did build a second building which I saw last Tuesday night after hours. I ask him if the new building was for the meat business---he resoundly said NO!!!
