Massey Expo 2017

The Massey Expo of 2017 is history, and a great show it was. Congratulations to the DeBruhl family for planning, organizing, and hosting this fun filled event.

Special thanks also to Larry Phillips, president of Apple Country Engine and Tractor Assn, and his entire club for doing a fantastic job meeting our needs and making MCA feel welcome. We were told to expect a wide variety of tractors and equipment, and those expectations were definately met.

Exhibitors from various states brought some tractors in better than show room condition, some in fantastic original condition and some waiting their turn at restoration.

Here is hoping that all who attended the show had a safe trip home.  To those of you who were not lucky enough to be there put the Massey Expo 2018 on your calendar. It will be held in Paisley Ontario Aug 17-19 2018.

After working for 2 evenings trying to get some pictures attached and not having any luck, I will try that later.  We did however have some outstanding, nearly professional roving photographers at the show.  Maybe some of them will share their pictures.  Don't  be bashful guys.

RE:Massey Expo 2017

I would like to add my thoughtgs on the 2017 MENA event. Contrary to the previous post, I would have to say it was probably at the very bottom of my list of previous events. We expected in Apple Country as advertised, there would be apple cider and apple butter making, none. There were no demonsrtations, no baker fan, no steam engines or thrashing, nothing more than a fair grounds  with an enormous amount of flee market vendors. Yes, there were a large number of beautiful Massey tracors. Three of our more promenent display/vendors were no where near our Massey tent. I agree that the Debruhl family did a great job with what they had to work with. I felt real bad for them after what the NC state folks did to them. Malcom and John, you missed nothing. Just my thoughts, Thanks Jerry

RE:Massey Expo 2017

I'm hoping some of you that attended the MENA Expo in North Carolina can post some photos from the event.  I wasn't able to attend so I'm looking for shots for the January/February issue of the Massey Clipper.  The deadline for that issue is December 1 so hopefully some of you can either post them here on the website or send them directly to me at rkeating@gmail.com.

It would be a big help and greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
