RE:Valve Spring Failure on Massey 25
I do hope someone takes on the listing of incomplete and lost tractors providing the serial numbers are available, it will compliment David Parfitt's excellent comprehensive record of surviving examples available for everyone to see on his website for pre 1930 tractors,   www.steel-wheels.net  Check out the pre 1930 register page, you will be amazed at the content of this excellent site and amount of surviving Wallis and early M-H tractors on the register.

Today's contribution to the styled 25 discussion is the F&H rear wheel hubs on the rubber tyred tractors, for years I have often wondered why the hubs look different and much larger on the original UK import tractors to the ones I have seen in Western Canada.
Recently discussing this with Graham he came up with the answer, what makes the hubs look smaller is the fact they have been machined to hold the wheel weight in position, something we have not seen on UK tractors and apparently he has experienced this with I-H tractors too.

Attached side view photo of my tractor  and one of Graham's photo's showing the wheel weight in place on a Canadian tractor.

Anyone else noticed this?

Malcolm.
