I must apologise to Gary E for getting confused about who owned the GP. But really Gary it is time for you to graduate to the era of crank start, iron wheel, muffler free tractors. They are a pure delight and great satsifaction comes from bringing an engine to life with a dose of controlled brute force. Something quite primeval about it.
It is particularly satisfying on that first start up when one has just rescued a golden oldie from deriliction or scrap.
Maybe others can join in and explain the pure joy of a hand crank start up and get Gary on the graduation ladder. Of course one can start the self starters on the crank but it is not nearly as satisfying and we so rarely see anyone doing this. Too much money to spend on batteries I say!
