RE:Massey Harris Implements.
Well, I got ambitious and decided to mount my 2 row corn planter onto the MH 30. It made me a little nervous putting rust on nice paint but the planter is in pretty good condition.
This is the every same set-up my dad had and used. Probably the only difference is the pieces seemed a lot heavier than they were when I was in high school!! We used this crazy thing through the early 1970's. We were not the fastest to get our corn and beans in but it worked!
The tractor has the mechanical lift on it but it seems to have a problem we will need to work on but the planter should be in working order. I have not seen too many with the markers in front of the rear wheels. Whoever had this one must not have had much faith in the cables (missing) so he put chains on them so they would not get run over if he hit a rock with the marker.
If it goes on the trailer we might just haul this set up around this summer.
Something a little different.
