RE:MASSEY SEATS

There are three Z82 Massey seats.  Here is the first.  It is just marked Z82.  Several seat collectors I have met believe this to actually be a Harris seat and so pre dating the Massey and Harris amalgamation of 6 May 1892 and the formation of Massey-Harris on 22nd July the same year.

Anyone have any more info on this seat?

RE:MASSEY SEATS

This is the third and later Massey Z82 seat.  As you can see it now has Massey-Harris Canada on it

RE:MASSEY SEATS

Here is a much sought after Massey-Harris British seat.  It's the Massey-Harris England. One of two British MH seats.

RE:MASSEY SEATS

Here is the other British Massey-Harris seat - the Massey-Harris Dickie.  M-H did all the marketing for Dickie - a firm of Scitish implement manufacturers - after the war - hence Dickie got on to the seats

RE:MASSEY SEATS

Here is Alan Harris's M-H hay rake which would of been horse drawn originally and one implement which used the M-H England seat as John previously posted, these rakes also had a very nice footplate with "SAM" cast into them, I understand this stands for "Self Acting Manual" Rake.

RE:MASSEY SEATS

M-H in the UK had along tie up with the Blackstone company which made a wide range of farm machinery.  M-H undertook all their marketing.  The equipment was never fitted with Massey Blackstone seats, but the Blackstone seats clearly have a link to MH.

Here is one of them

RE:MASSEY SEATS

We have already seen one version of The Johnston Harvester seat, here is another which we don't see too often, I expect most were grain binder seats?
