RE:Massey Display at the Norwich Indoor Tractor Show

Joe,

I really hope you keep that white stuff across there, we have only just seen the last of it here and the pictures Alan took at the weekend was the first time I have been outside without a coat this spring.

From your photographs it looks like you are preparing for some warmer spring like weather otherwise you will need a good hat to keep you warm at LeSuer this weekend, hope your keeping a look out for Cub Jnr parts amongst the piles!!!!!

Here is another photograph for the M-F enthusiasts, a very smartly restored M-F 165 displayed with many other makes of recently restored shiny tractors in the Concourse Section at Norwich. I am sure it looks better than the day it left the Banner Lane factory in Coventry.

I know both Gary and Drew have great interest in working horses, so here is a photo from the recent Norwich show just for them to admire, it would of looked even better if it had been pulling a M-H implement.

Nice shire but in that outfit it won't pull too much equipment. If you look close at the harness it is setup to pull a cart or something with shafts. There are no "tugs" (think two large leather straps to hook to a wagon). Also, it is fairly fancy with the extra bells on top and braids. Not really wearing work clothes, so I doubt you would see that one in the field.

Malcolm, Really beautiful tractors . Question for you. The wheels all have a cream (Jersey) color rather than straw yellow. Is that an English thing or just this collector?

RE:Massey Display at the Norwich Indoor Tractor Show

Pleased you like the photo's Jerry,

Many of the original British tractors and implements had a much lighter yellow, almost cream on the wheels. We do see some tractors here with straw yellow wheels.

I had some original cream colour from an original wheel matched and today it is called "sand" with a British code of RAL1002.

You know Jerry we like the Jersey Cream here in UK and finally we got Gary to understand and appreciate quality cream when he was over here.
